1999, rammed earth, sod, steel, iron, brick, 18’ x 20’ x 28’ “Functional Follies,” Commissioned by the Savannah College of Art and Design for the tenth anniversary of the college. The rammed earth structure with earthen stairs in the center serves as a quiet place to view the river. This work was to last for three months. At their request I returned to change out grass for the summer heat and extend the life of the work to six months.
